The London Marathon is witnessing an unprecedented turnout this year, with a record-breaking number of participants. Over 50,000 individuals are gearing up to tackle the grueling 26.2-mile (42.2km) course across the capital city.

Amidst the sea of runners, many don eye-catching costumes in support of various charities. Among the crowd, individuals adorned in elaborate plane and camel costumes stand out, adding a whimsical touch to the event.

Notable figures joining the marathon include former health secretary Matt Hancock, comedian Romesh Ranganathan, and BBC newsreader Sophie Raworth.
