Kanye West has demanded that people stop using his ‘slave name’ and refer to him by his real name instead. West, a highly public figure known for his dramatic personal life, has sparked chatter once again with this unusual request.

His chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, emphasized the significance of this change, stating that West’s decision was not made lightly, potentially sacrificing the value associated with his former name. Yiannopoulos is now pushing for this name change to be respected across various platforms.

Previously, West legally changed his name to ‘Ye’, which he explained symbolizes unity and reflects the human experience. He expressed this transition during a radio interview, noting that ‘ye’ is a common word in the Bible meaning ‘you’ or ‘us’. West’s name change was approved by a Los Angeles court in 2021.

Yiannopoulos is now working to enforce this name change among streaming platforms, publishers, and other visible outlets. Despite West’s penchant for controversy, this latest move has drawn attention and discussion online.
