A Russian bomber plane crashed over the Stavropol region. While 4 pilots ejected from the plane using ejection seats, 1 person lost their life. It was reported that one of the ejected pilots is being searched for. While Ukraine claims to have shot down the plane, Russia attributes the crash to a technical malfunction.

STATEMENT FROM UKRAINE: “WE SHOT IT DOWN” Ukrainian military officials claim to have shot down the Russian plane, while Russia attributed the reason for the crash to technical malfunction. The two surviving pilots, who were injured in the incident, have been taken to the hospital for treatment.

Ukraine Air Force Commander Nikolay Oleshchuk said, “For the first time, the Air Force’s anti-aircraft missile units destroyed the Tu-22M3 long-range strategic bomber carrying Kh-22 cruise missiles, which Russian terrorists used to attack Ukrainian cities.”
