The lineup for the 2024 Cannes Film Festival competition has been revealed, featuring new films by master filmmakers such as Francis Ford Coppola, David Cronenberg, Paolo Sorrentino, Andrea Arnold, Sean Baker, and Jacques Audiard competing for the prestigious Palme d’Or.

Scheduled to take place from May 14 to May 25, the 77th Cannes Film Festival program has been announced. The Main Competition, chaired by Greta Gerwig, will showcase new films by renowned filmmakers such as Francis Ford Coppola, David Cronenberg, Paolo Sorrentino, Andrea Arnold, Sean Baker, and Jacques Audiard. Xavier Dolan will head the Un Certain Regard section, Lukas Dhont will oversee the Queer Palm, Rodrigo Sorogoyen will lead the Critics’ Week, and Nicholas Philibert will head the documentary competition. The festival’s opening will feature Quentin Dupieux’s new film, “The Second Act (Le deuxième acte).”
